The Polish Institute of Arts and Sciences is pleased to announce a virtual event and presentation featuring Professor Dominic Pacyga of Columbia College, Chicago, on Saturday, April 24, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., US Eastern Time. During this event, Professor Pacyga will be formally presented with the Institute’s 2020 Oskar Halecki Polish History Award in recognition of his book American Warsaw: The Rise, Fall and Rebirth of Polish Chicago (University of Chicago Press). Following his receipt of the Halecki Award, Professor Pacyga will present “Chicago: The Capital of Polonia.”
