About

PIASA Archives

The PIASA Archives, maintained by the Polish Institute of Arts and Sciences of America (PIASA), are a significant repository of Polish and Polish American historical and cultural materials.

The Archives consist of approximately 450 linear feet (140 meters) of processed material organized into 77 collections, encompassing various forms such as manuscripts, correspondence, diaries, photographs, maps, sound recordings, and microfilms. These collections document Polish history and the experiences of Poles in America, including their political, artistic, and scholarly contributions.

The Institute and its Archives play a crucial role in preserving Polish cultural and historical materials for both scholars and the general public interested in Polish studies.

More information about our holdings, archival inventories, and scans of our records can be viewed on the www.szukajwarchiwach.gov.pl platform.
